My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan. I am beyond my actual parole discharge date, due to a large restitution, not being fully paid yet. I am nearing my max discharge date. Does the restitution need to be fully paid before I am released (discharged) or can my max date be extended? Recently I heard that there was a change in the regulations here. It entails being beyond your normal discharge date and still owing restitution. What I heard is that the restitution can be turned over for ...
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas My parole is about to discharge but my po says I have to continue sending restitution to Huntsville even when I'm no longer under any type of supervision. I've been on parole for 5 years & served 3 in tdc with no "screw ups". Never missed a payment, never had a dirty UA, nothing. She says I may have to meet with the board director as well. How can they make me pay this? I know it's my responsibility to pay the money back, I have every intention on ...
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Oregon, my younger brother will be getting out next month. He is a first time offender (unlawful use of a vehicle, his girlfriend car) he is hearing a lot of "no he can't's". My family wants to know can he get early termination from parole? Also is there any sevices out there when it comes to finding him a place to stay, since all of my lives out of state? Parole? So he was in prison, not jail? Then there's a lot more to this story than "a first time ...
My husband is currently in prision along with three other co-defendants. His sentencing orders him and his co-defendants to pay restitution. My husband is paying on the restitution, but we would like clarification on what this means. Sentencing orders read: "Restitution is recommended in the amount of $$$$$$ to be paid joint and several with the other co-defendants now and as a condition of eventual parole." Does this mean the amount is split four ways or they all pay on it until it is paid in full? If ...

My name is Nathanial and I have some concerns that have to do with a trip I will be going on next month. I was hoping that someone might be able to help me address these concerns. I am currently on parole in the state of California. However, I am about ready to be discharged from parole. I officially discharge my parole on march 9. Shortly after I am discharged ...
My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: Illinois I was convicted and did my prison time. I got out in April 2006 interstate parole to California. Did all my time on parole no early discharge. I am maxxed out on my prison time and parole time and have letter of discharge given in 2009. I was told a warrant originated in July 2007 but just finding out about it here in 2010 over a year later. I called and asked what did I need to do they said appear before sentencing judge, hire an attorney, ...
In Louisiana, according to http://www.interstatecompact.org/Por...rge_010807.pdf , there is no way to be discharged from parole early. I'm on 5 years parole for felony marijuana. My question is if transferred to a new state, say Mississippi, that does allow early termination of parole, would they be able to discharge me early? I see on a few other states say they'll ask for recommendation from the sending state. Mississippi doesn't say either way, but if they do ask I'm wondering if Louisiana would have to ...
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Oregon. I am a matrix case (a month ago I didn't know what that meant, now I do). in 1992 I got out of prison and never reported / absconded. I made it 19 years before getting "caught" (I evidently did not completely stop at a stop sign). I am currently finishing my 30 day "sanction" after which I will be on parole. I have lived close to twenty years with no legal issues. Since absconding I have completely turned my life around. I am now married, have ...
I have been out of prison since 1998 but unable to pay the criminal restitution of 25,800.00, and I now owe over 1,600.00 for parole fees, I have been on Social Security Disability which only pays me $731 per month, not even enough to live on around here. I live in Michigan. I have been held on parole for 8 years for failure to pay the restitution and fees, however obviously I cant afford them. I am currently in the process of chapter 7 bankruptcy. I had to report all these debts and I previously had the ...

Years ago I made a mistake that landed me in prison (drove pot) ; I did my time, behaved came out and left that lifestyle behind me. My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida and West Virginia My grandson was on parole from the State of Florida. He is a convicted felon. He was allowed by Florida to transfer to the state of West Virginia. While in West Virginia he has been charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony and petit larceny. He was arrested on October 23, 2012 and has been in the county jail ever since with a $50,000.00 cash bond. He has pled guilty to the petit larceny and plans to plead guilty ...
Hello! I've posted here before about probation for this felony which since then I have completed(Jan 09'). I actually have a few questions regarding my felony. How long until it will be expunged? After sentencing I've been reading that they automatically reinstate certain rights in Kansas upon completion of sentencing (my probation). Is this true? Which rights? I've read many many threads and posts here about the process and also about Kansas cases in particular. I seen that in the Kansas thing about ...
What happens if you violate your probation, but the court doesn't find out until after you are off probation? Can they reinstate your probation, or sentence you since you actually did violate your probation? Thanks, Laws are different in each state. If you truly were discharged from probation on the first offense, I would expect that all they can do is nail you to the wall when sentencing you for your new crime. This is what I learned about that today!! Justice..what a sick joke! I had contacted TDOC ...
A recent friend of my father has borrowed $12,000 dollars from him. He says he has to pay-off or buy down his parole in order to be able to travel to other states. This guy just inherited $97,000,000, and needs to go pick up the check. You would think they would give him special consideration. Why does he need to go to the other state to get the check? Sometimes a probation officer will consider discharging a probationer early, where all fines, restitution and court assessments have been paid off. Is there ...
My boyfriend& I were co defendents. I got released on parole & he hopefully will too. If so can we get married or at least live together? He's very close to my family & I'm close to his. Our first time in trouble with the law as well. I would appreciate some positive feed back or know there is hope parole typically requires you not to interact with people who you know to be criminals, since you two were co defendants you certainly know each other are criminals, you would need permission from parole and i ...

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California A while back me and child's father had some issues and his parole issued a restraining that states that he has to stay away from me. Well two years have passed and we are trying to attend family therapy with him and kids so we can work on getting things fixed to be able to co-parent. I have been going to church for some time and he has started going for sometime to as well. This is stopping us from co-parenting. I really hope someone could give ...
My question involves criminal records for the state of: Nevada. I was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence battery in clark county. I spent 3 days in jail at which point I saw the judge which offered me to plead guilty or no contest with time served nothing else required of me. I plead no contest and I am wondering how this will affect my ability to get a job as I am a college student and it was a fight with my brother which both of us were intoxicated. I am also wondering about my ability to own ...
